JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Casting Engineer / Process Engineer

SUPERVISOR: Vice President and General Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Designs castings, processes and procedures.

WORKING PROCEDURE:

1. Designs castings, casting gating, risering, processes and procedures from part prints, computer electronic data or sketches.

2. Performs solidification modeling.

3. Prepares Engineering Data Sheets and Casting Specification Sheets.

4. Enters engineering data into the computer.

5. Reviews and records actual data collected from the manufacturing process into the computer.

6. Assures casting, processes and procedure engineering data is accurate and updated as needed.

7. Responds to and answers customer design inquiries.

8. Works on production and quality improvement programs.

9. Visits customers at the request of Bimac management, sales staff or at customers request.

10. Maintains all files in the Engineering Department.

11. Maintains good housekeeping in the Engineering Department.

12. Observes and follows all safety regulations.
