Quality Assurance

Because we routinely produce castings to rigid military specifications, Bimac maintains a quality control policy in accordance with MIL-I-45208A requirements. Our castings meet military, federal, ASTM and AMS specifications and we are certified by most major aerospace, aircraft and commercial industries in the United States. Bimac's state-of-the-art, non-destructive testing laboratory helps us provide strict quality control using radiography, penetrant and magnetic particle inspection.

From the first inspection of pattern and tooling equipment, through in-process quality checks and non-destructive testing to the finished casting, we meet and exceed customer specifications.

Cast Tolerances

Typical cast tolerances of ± .005 inch-per-inch apply. Closer tolerances can be obtained in some cases, depending on casting design, tooling, casting size, type of alloy and heat treatment. Additional literature on dimensions, tolerances and surface finishes is available upon request.
